My Little Helper

It was such a great weekend, this past weekend. Beautiful! In our backyard we have a huge pecan tree that sits right in the middle of our yard. We have some small plants around the base of the tree with river rock edging the bed. Quite nice. I plant my tulip bulbs in this area in the Fall. I might have to find another planting space since my little helper likes to get in the flower bed and dig everything up!!!! Devil Dog you drive me crazy, but we love you anyway!

Today it felt like winter. The temperature was below 60 and that is freezing here in Texas. I wasn't prepared for this cold snap. Slowly it will warm back up.

An update on my great aunt. She passed away Sunday. The funereal will be Wednesday. Please pray that I make it through the service.

Hope your week is off to a warm start!

Isn't She Cute!

This is Devil Dog, I meant Maggie. We got her in March and boy has she shaken things up in our home. She was so cute when she was little and sweet. Now she is the master of destruction. She is full of energy and some of the destruction is our fault. I will admit to that. We thought that once she got spayed she would calm down a little but no such luck. We still have an endless bound of energy dog. Here are some items I will be getting once she has outgrown her puppy stage.

1. A new rug
2. Two new couches
3. A new bookshelf
4. A new entertainment center
5. New door frames

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Visual DNA

You will have to scroll to the bottom of this page to see it. I couldn't figure out how to add it to my post. It kept saying error so I gave up. I took this from Terri's blog. I thought it was cool. Why not give it a try and create your own visual DNA. Have fun!

Took Maggie aka Devil Dog to the vet this morning for her monthly checkup. She is weighing in at around 30 pounds and is about 6 months old. I hope she has stopped growing. Got her all set up with heartworm and flea preventive and her needed vaccinations. Also, she needs ear drops. She has a bad yeast infection in her ears due to all the rain and her love to go swimming at the dog park. So the Doc said that she needs to stay out of the water for several months. Poor thing. She also got a much needed nail trim. She is all ready for her stay at LC's while we are out of town next week.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Celebrate Good Times

Come On! Last night the girls all got together at Cafe Red Onion to celebrate mine and D's birthdays. We had so much fun talking and laughing. The food was good and the gifts were great. I am one lucky Lady to have some good friends in my life. D announced to us that she will be leaving at the end of this month, moving to California. I am so sad to see her go but I know this is something that her and her family want right now. You are going to be missed!

My dog is doing better. I think she is back to being Devil Dog! On Tuesday we took her and her sister to be spayed. She was quite sick afterwards from the anesthesia. It was not a fun ride home after the vet! She seems more playful this morning and back to tearing things up.

We have DS tutoring today so that will take up most of the afternoon. I plan to camp out on the couches in the waiting room and finish up my book. See picture to the right. I am enjoying this book. Plus I checked it out from the library and its due tomorrow! I am trying to save money by checking out my books from the library and not buying them. But I sometimes get them back past the due date and have to pay a fine so it defeats the purpose. But I don't have books laying around the house adding more clutter to our home.

It looks like rain today so I think the pool with the cousins is going to be out of the question this afternoon. So we will be home and I will have to cook. Wish me luck!

We have an uneventful weekend coming up. What are your plans for the weekend?

Have a great day!
