Thrifty Finds

We made at trip to Salvation Army. Now I have to travel to Salvation Army because the one in my neighborhood still hasn't reopened from the hurricane. So I don't get to go as often as I would like.
I picked up 4 set of the Milk Glass snack sets at $3.99 each.
Also, picked up this planter. I am going to paint it and then fill it with a pretty plant.
What have you found lately?

Menu Planning

We had a full weekend with a stamp camp, baseball clinic, baseball practice and shopping. My sweetie treated me to a shopping spree at Coldwater Creek and then dinner at PF Chang's. Our week looks full of the same old same old. Nothing spectacular happening here. I did talk with my mom over the weekend and she has scheduled her knee surgery the first part of June and therefore my parents will not be able to go to Pennsylvania with us. I am a little disappointed but I know she needs the relief of the surgery.

Here is our plan for the week: (I hope I stick to it!)

Monday~Cheesy Meatball Subs

Tuesday~Crispy Baked Pesto Chicken

Wednesday~Digiorno cheese stuffed crust pizza-supreme

Thursday~Chicken Alfredo Pesto Pasta

Friday~Out to celebrate my sister's birthday

Saturday~Polynesian Glazed Meatballs
All of my recipes can be found at Kraftfoods.com in the 1 Bag, 5 Dinners section.

Have a great week!

Stamp Camp

My Stampin Up friend, Penny, had a wonderful stamp camp at her house this weekend. Here are the projects we made. All stamp sets are from the Sellabration catalog. If you spend $50 you get a free stamp set. How great is that! Penny starts her camps with door prizes fro those who are on time and lucky me won these!

A great card that I am going to use for a Bridal Shower next month.

This card was the card from hell. It was difficult to get the flower to lay straight.

A sweet card.

I love this card!

This card has a teabag inside.

A simple card.

We used the watercolor crayons on this card and it was not my favorite.

Thanks for looking. I have included Penny's blog here so that you could go get the directions on how to recreate some of the cards above.

California Dreaming

It's official! The plans have been made, the tickets have been purchased, the reservations made and dinner selection and reservations confirmed. We are going to Disneyland!!!!! I can't wait to see Mickey and his friends. I haven't been to Disneyland since I was a young girl. We are heading to Cali for Spring Break. We plan to spend six days enjoying the Anaheim area. Hopefully I will get to visit with my girlfriends and their families while out there. I love California and its been several years since we have been there. The last time we were there we toured the San Diego area. Loved the zoo, animal park, Sea World, aquariums and Lego land.
Do you have plans for Spring Break?

Project 325

Okay, I know that is not the correct name for the project but since I am starting late, as usual, I changed the number of days to fit the rest of my year since I am starting late. Some of you may be wondering what the heck I am talking about. In the scrapbook community there is a kit of the month offered by Creating Keepsakes. They offered a kit on January 1st and it sold out in minutes. I was out of town and didn't get a chance to purchase one. It is called Project 365 and what it is, is you take a picture a day and then put them together to make a week and journal about each day as well.

I am doing this for a couple reasons. It seems like a interesting way to chronicle a year. Recording not just the extraordinary events, but day to day things that might slip through the cracks, the haircuts, the scrapes, the little victories….. Also, I hope to get better at taking pictures. If you do something every day for a year it stands to reason that you will get better at it.

My week will start on Mondays and then on Sundays, if I remember, will share the photos of the week that I will include in my scrapbook for the project. It's not too late for you to start your Project. You can go here to find out more about the Project and see examples to get you started.

Have a great day!

February Pay It Forward Book Exchange

It's that time again! Please read below for a chance to win a Chick Lit book!
(from Amazon)Product DescriptionThe only thing Elle Medina has ever been a strong candidate for is a department store credit card . . .
Application for Temporary Employment
Name: Elle Medina
Marital Status: I'm separated from my fiance, Louis Ferris.
Occupation: He was a highly paid attorney.
Employment History: You mean mine? Technically I haven't exactly worked before. But I'm motivated and I work well with others. Most others. Usually.
Career Goals: I thought I was happy with Louis, but now I'm not sure. Ever since he dumped me for some floozy from Iowa, I've been thinking I should find out what I'm good at and pursue it in a formal job-type way.
Salary Requirements: I need my own apartment (currently staying on friend's sofa) and a car. And I've always wanted a dog. Oh, and I definitely need a shopping trip.

Elle Medina must be qualified for something other than shopping and causing trouble, but when she moved to Santa Barbara after the disastrous end of her engagement, just what she's suited for isn't clear. Bartender? Private eye? Phone psychic? It seems like everything she tries ends in humiliation or legal action -- or both. Her best friend is getting sick of her, her new boyfriend's a con artist and her creditors are on her trail. So why is this the happiest Elle's been in years?

Here are the rules to enter. Yes, there are some rules!

1.If you win this book you must host a giveaway on your blog. If you don't have a blog then you will give the book to a local shelter, library, etc.

2.You do not need a blog to participate. If you don't have one just please leave your e-mail so that in the event you should win I can get a hold of you.
