Our fun filled weekend

I started the weekend off at my friend DIVA's house. The kids went out back to swim while us girls sat around the kitchen table and caught up on what was happening since school was let out. The picture above doesn't do it justice. In fact that's not her pool. She had a large blow up pool for the kids to play in! I couldn't resist posting this beautiful pool. Someday!
Saturday we went to a local thrift store that my friend LC introduced me to. I picked up a pretty crystal tulip bowl. As soon as I learn how to post pictures from my camera, I will share. Then later that day we went to the beach. We had dinner at our favorite Italian place, Marios. It's right on the seawall and you can watch the passerbyers. After dinner we went striaght to the beach. My boys headed for the water and I sat comfortably in my chair reading, Citizen Girl. When the sun was just about gone we packed up and headed home.
Sunday we headed to Brenham, TX to check out an antique store. The place was recommend by a fellow blogger. You must check this place out if you are in the area. The store is called Leftovers Antiques. You will be amazed at their displays of wonderful treasures. Next we ventured over to Independence, TX to check out a garden store. Once again if you are in the area you must check this place out. The place is called Antique Rose Emporium. Your senses are in for a treat. We purchased some hens and chicks for our back patio. And we stopped at another garden store on the way home to look at birdbaths. I am on the search for one.
Later that evening my friend LC called and ask if we would like to join her and her fury babies at the Dog Park. We have a fury baby, Maggie, and I will introduce her later. Little G, my son, was so excited but Mr G wanted to take a nap. He was tired from chaffuering me around TX. Little G, Maggie and I joined my friend and her fury babies and we had the best of time. They ran and played, swam and played, fetched and played. We were all tired at the end of the day.
Whew! That was our weekend! Not much done around the house. No projects completed. How was your weekend?
